Holistic Education for children ages 4 to 10
At New Numinous Microschool, we teach all subjects by applying practical, relatable, real-world situations to academic concepts. We prioritize each student’s unique needs and pace of learning, monitoring their progress academically, emotionally and socially. Students experience real-life interactions as they learn in small, multi-age groups. Each core subject is integrated to align with each child’s unique pace and style of learning.
Our curriculum is theme and skill-based and covers seven main subjects, applying key concepts through a wide range of hands-on activities. Our aim is to help children correlate learning with play, not work!

Little Numinous Explorers – ages 4 to 7
Students will engage in comprehensive, age-appropriate activities designed to stimulate creative exploration and high-quality learning. Children will learn through hands-on activities that are designed to nurture the big ideas and conceptual understanding of literacy and numeracy through inquiry, play and nature. Clear, systematic instruction is tailored to each child’s needs.
We will be using Natural and Minds Up curriculums, Forest Curriculum and seamlessly weaving overall expectations of Ontario Curriculum for Literacy (Science of Reading) and Numeracy (Marian Small).
Numinous Adventurers – ages 8 to 11
Students will embrace their developing abilities to learn about new topics and ideas, and use their knowledge to spark a lifelong journey of curiosity and problem solving! Our curriculum focuses on the Sciences; students will explore new ideas, and learn how to trust their innate ability to comprehend new and complex things. We focus on seamlessly weaving academics into each student’s unique interests and learning style, building a solid foundation for future success as they pursue their individual dreams and goals.
We will be using Natural and Minds Up curriculums, Forest Curriculum and seamlessly weaving overall expectations of Ontario Curriculum for Literacy (Science of Reading) and Numeracy (Marian Small).

Little Entrepreneurs Program
Helping children become self-starters who can tackle real-world challenges with creativity and confidence is central to our program. Our communities need creative thinkers who can generate new opportunities around them. All New Numinous students will participate in a Little Entrepreneurs program to encourage entrepreneurial ideation from an early age in a practical AND fun way!
